Machine Gun Shooting

Sturgis 2011
Friday, August 5 - Saturday, August 13

The Buffalo Chip Machine Gun Shoot Experience is THE Ultimate Multi-Sensory Event

Here’s your chance to shoot real ammunition from real automatic weapons AND get the training required for a 35-state concealed carry permit.

Billed as the ultimate 2nd amendment experience, the machine gun shoot at the Buffalo Chip Campground was undeniably one of last year’s most thrilling Sturgis Rally events. With participants from 23 different countries firing exotic firearms at some very irresistible stationary and exploding targets, you couldn’t help but feel the adrenaline pulsating through the air.

A shooting arcade for grown-ups

If you think the Buffalo Chip Machine Gun Shoot experience is like those 25-cent shooting arcades you see at neighborhood amusement parks, think again. Every day at the Buffalo Chip Sports Complex you can shoot live rounds from real weapons like the ones 1920’s gangsters and the men and women serving in American and International military and Special Forces shoot.

Choose from WWI, WWII, Korean and Vietnam War era as well as present-day full automatic weapons and semi-automatic and bolt-automatic rifles. You’ll also have your choice of American, German and Russian firearms and firearms used by police, swat teams, and the military. Altogether over 60 models are available for shooting including the Smith & Wesson 500, a 50-caliber long range target gun that shoots 5 ½ inch long shells, and the 50-caliber M2, the firearm our soldiers fondly refer to as “Ma Duce.”
But that’s not all. New this year is our bowling ball mortar, a short cannon of sorts capable of shooting 16-pound bowling balls up to 500 yards!

The Buffalo Chip Machine Gun Shoot Experience is the only place you can go during the 2011 Sturgis Rally to see, hear, smell, taste and feel the thrill and excitement of shooting live ammo from live machine guns. Come take part in the ultimate 2nd amendment experience – no prior shooting experience required.

Get your concealed carry permit while you still can

Concerned about your second amendment rights? We’re concerned about them too. That’s why we’ve asked the folks at Guns of Freedom to hold a concealed carry class right here at the Buffalo Chip Campground. Come get the training you need to be eligible for a 35-state concealed carry permit while you still can!
