Blind Lion Band

Slated to appear for 9 nights at The Legendary Buffalo Chip, Blind Lion, a young band with old souls, are bringing a time-tested sound back into the foreground of music. Playing original material with classic rock flavor, a style they call “vintage rock,” Blind Lion has resurrected the guitar driven, blues-laden, lyrical sound of the 60’s and 70’s greatest names. Although prior to 2009, all four members had been playing music prior to coming together, they found a real band in each other. Originally calling the group The Relief, they soon changed the name to Blind Lion, agreeing that it was more fitting for their overall presentation. Read More

Dog Leg Preacher

Can you say Edge Rock, Legendary Buffalo Chip Campground, Dog Leg Preacher and Sturgis motorcycle rally all in one sentence? Well we did, and you will.

Dog Leg Preacher was initially founded as an independent recording project, however the success of the first album #1 released in 2001, gained worldwide recognition and airplay, and was the motivation for singer Joe Kurke, and drummer Jon Fosdick to proceed with the project. Fast forward a couple of years to the addition of Peruvian guitar wizard Marcelo Portaro, and veteran bassman Vogard Kane and to 2009 when Dog Leg Preacher recorded and released  Read More

Dwight York

Here he goes again… comedian Dwight York returns to the Buffalo Chip Campground for a 2011 Sturgis motorcycle rally, again managing the Legendary Buffalo Chip’s Comedy Club. As if the Best Party Anywhere wasn’t fun enough, Dwight’s comedy will shock you with one-liners that sucker punch. Dwight’s adult humor is.... smart, funny and to the point, but not exactly the point you might be expecting. Expect only to laugh.
Dwight first took the stage in February of 1989 and from that very first open mic quickly established himself as one of Minneapolis’s hottest comics, eventually becoming a regular of the nationally syndicated Bob and Tom Show.
In December of 1999 he published his first book, “The Vile File -- Jokes too Sick for the Stage,” but not too sick for the Legendary Buffalo Chip stage.  I suspect he may have a few jokes about 2010’s Sturgis motorcycle rally experience up his sleeve... if that is where he keeps em. Check him out at http://www.dwightyork.com/  Read More
