Gunk, the industry leader in engine cleaning and degreasing products, has just announced the introduction of Engine Brite Engine Protector and the launch of the Gunk engine cleaning system. The new Gunk Engine Protector, which features rebranded Gunk packaging, is specially formulated to create a barrier against dirt, grime and grease, making future engine cleaning easier.
The Gunk engine cleaning system provides consumers with serious solutions for their engine cleaning and degreasing needs. The new system and Gunk Gauge help consumers determine which Gunk engine cleaning and degreasing product is the most appropriate for their vehicle:
- Gunk Foamy Engine Cleaner – For built-up road grime, salt and dirt from tough daily driving, long road trips and seasonal weather build up
- Gunk Original Engine Degreaser – For hard-working engines that have tough oil and grease build up, work in harsh environments or may be leaking
- Gunk Heavy Duty Gel Degreaser – Formulated to stick in place, penetrate deep and loosen the toughest caked on grease, baked on oil and engine deposits
After cleaning and degreasing an engine, applying an even coat of the new Gunk Engine Protector creates a barrier against heavy deposits of dirt and grease, leaves a detailer’s finish on engine parts and ensures easier cleaning in the future.
“Our Engine Protector is the latest product in a long line of serious cleaning and degreasing solutions that Gunk customers have relied on for decades,” said Marshal Livingstone, category manager for Gunk Brands. “Now, in addition to our products that eliminate caked on dirt and grime, Gunk users have a solution specially formulated to help protect their engines and restore the new engine shine.”
In addition to the Engine Protector and engine cleaning system, Gunk is also introducing its rebranded product line and new website. The new Gunk product packaging includes the Gunk Gauge to help consumers understand which Gunk product is right for their type of cleaning project and a mobile text code on every can – a unique feature in the industry – that consumers can use to instantly receive additional product applications and insight on their mobile phone. The new website also includes a series of how-to videos and DIY vehicle care tips.
Gunk Engine Protector will be in stores starting March 2011 and will be available alongside the newly rebranded Gunk cleaning and degreasing products at a variety of nationwide retailers, as well as online at Gunk.com.
