Live Rock-n-Roll @ Sturgis Motorcycle Rally

Known in the motorcycle world for his legendary rally performances, it’s only natural that renowned rock icon, Edgar Winter, join Sturgis Rally goers at the best party anywhere!

Winter, who has been a household name for over four decades, has been busy revisiting his roots with a new album production titled Rebel Road which was co-produced by Curt Cuomo features talent from Johnny Winter, Clint Black, and Slash.

“The kind of music I’m playing on Rebel Road has meant so much to me over the years,” said Winter, “and it was great working with so many talented musicians on bringing it to life. I think it will resonate with fans familiar with my early music and younger lovers of classic rock. There’s something magical about the time this sound came from, when there was more musical freedom and songs reflected such powerful social changes as civil rights and the peace movement during the Vietnam era. There’s a deep sense of humanity in classic rock that still resonates today.”  Read More

George Thorogood’s theory is that among the successful in the arts, there are two categories: “genius: and “very clever.” He claims there’s no in-betweens. One is either a genius or very clever. “I’m going to throw out two names at you. John Lennon – genius, right? And Mick Jagger? Very clever. See what I’m saying? I’ll give you another example. Einstein – genius. And George Thorogood – very clever.”

Buffalo Chip music fans may or may not agree, but he makes a great point. A lot of bikers might believe Thorogood is a genius. “OK, I’m a genius at being very clever,’’ he says. He draws another comparison: “Let’s put it this way. Dylan has a Rolls-Royce dealership. I have a used Chevy dealership… I’m in the business.” And, he says that’s all he ever wanted from his musical career.   Read More

The movie is the story of Zachariah and his friend Matthew who decide to become gunslingers and seek out established gangs and outlaws to help them in their quest. The movie featured the music and "acting" of Country Joe & the Fish, The James Gang and Elvin Jones. Zachariah's friend Matthew is played by the young Don Johnson. This clip is the opening title sequence featuring music from the James Gang.  Read More

Zachariah - Opening Desert Rock Sequence

Ashes, the Rain and I

Sometimes I sit and I stare at the rain
Isn't rain filled with sorrow?
Wonder if I'll see my home again
Will it be dry tomorrow?
Time passes softly and I'm a day older
But still I'm living days gone by
Ashes to ashes, the rain's turning colder
Finding tomorrow, the ashes, the rain and I

ZZ Top is an American rock band, sometimes referred to as "That Little Ol' Band from Texas". Their style has come to incorporate elements of arena, Southern, and boogie rock. The band is from Houston, Texas, formed in 1969.

They were signed to London Records in 1970 and by the mid-1970s, they were among the most popular touring acts in the United States and broke various concert attendance feats. After years of touring, the band went on a two-year break in 1977, which resulted in Gibbons and Hill growing chest-length beards.  After over 40 years of performing with the same members, the band continues to tour and record music.   ZZ Top has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide, including 25 million albums in the US alon   Read More
